Tackling the Bears and Packers Logos

 In Uncategorized

A team logo is more than a design. It’s a flag for fans under which to rally.

When it comes to colors, both the Chicago Bears founder George Halas and Green Bay Packers founder Curly Lambeau borrowed their teams’ colors from their alma mater (Halas went to U of I and Lambeau went to Notre Dame).

We bet you thought the Packers’ oval “G??? logo stood for Green Bay, right? Actually, when the logo was first created in 1961, they determined the “G??? would stand for “Greatness.???

The Bears “C??? logo is also more than meets the eye. In addition to standing for Chicago, the “C” is said to resemble everything from a wishbone, a leaf, and of course… a football!
