Blogging is easy Really, it is. Blogging (a contraction of web log) is just an electronic diary that allows you to add pictures and links. Generally the blogs are listed in reverse-chronological order so the most recent blog entries show up first. All of the content on the blog is saved and searchable, which keeps your site organized. Blogging software allows you to hear back from your readers as well. This community feedback adds to the richness of the site and helps improve search engine optimization. There are many free sites where you can blog, but we prefer the control of hosting our own blog site for control and security. Our favorite is Wordpress. It is flexible fast and is used in millions of sites all over the world. And it's free. Contact us get more information on installing and configuring Wordpress. Some pro bono work A good example of a Wordpress site is one which we created for the Association of Horizon, an organization dedicated to improving the lives of adults with physical disabilities. They needed a site that contained relevant and timely information for members and was a useful tool for fundraising. Once the design was finalized and the site livened, Horizon members were responsible for content so we made it easy for them to add content directly from their web browser and not have to worry about many of the details of web authoring.

Proofreader's marks
Proofreader's marks are like Pantone colors for words. They provide a standardized way to communicate text revisions. Understanding them greatly reduces the error rate on revisions and speeds cycle time. Download a PDF file with most of the most common proofreader's marks right here. We're so sorry, Edgar If the Proofreader's marks are our hammer, we need a nail. Back by popular demand is our copy editing of the first few verses of The Raven by Edgar Allen Poe. You may have thought the original was good, but wait until you see how we've improved it. |
